PARK RANGER'S DOCK and SKIFF 16 X 20 2005

I never met a more satisfied and happy collection of individuals, as Park Service employees and volunteers. They are Esthetics with a badge, dedicated to the pursuit and preservation of beauty.

When they take those funny hats off, and let their hair down, they know how to throw a party. A Bluegrass jug band forms, beer begins to flow, and the dancing begins. When the dust settled, six of us with two flashlights and half a brain, stumbled 1/2 a mile across root and rock to our campsites. At one point on the trail, I thought one of us would have to marry a moose, but she let us pass without incident.
