My back is to the park, and this park looms large in my past. Forty years earlier, I came down here after a hellish night on LSD. Three friends from HSPVA and two other acquaintances dosed. Minutes later, one of our group was called home for a family emergency. The only person, with a car, we could call was a schizophrenic with a German Shepherd named Joey. 3am in Federally controlled space, I was freaking out. Security was calling us out, inquiring about the dog. An eternity later, we safely arrived at this park and swung on swings until the sun rose. I am still amazed we were not detained, nor arrested. Once again Layfayette saved our revolution.
