This is the backside of the Lucky Lounge, off Lavaca between 4th and 5th. It was quite the flock cranes in downtown Austin. This painting was published and subsequently sold quickly. The buyer was a gambler that traveled between Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas. She said it made her feel lucky. The proceeds of this sale financed a months stay at the Golden Spike in Las Vegas. Now that is another set of tales, in another city, in another year with another set of images.
