THE FIRE CARRIERS 10x8 1999

Since before we left the cave, we have had fire carriers. It was a sacred and vital act. 1999 was a time of war on public smoking. I am not advocating for smoking in enclosed spaces but I think banning it from all public spaces is ridiculous. The lawnmower, auto, and mosquito spray has a greater environmental impact on the air you breathe than second hand smoke. I know this is an emotionally charged issue. It kills people dead same as alcohol, drugs, texting, sex, driving, fast food and swimming within 30 minutes of eating. Still, we lose a little of our humanity when we forfeit our liberty. My neanderthal forebears are rolling in their caves thinking our leaders are dicks and we are all pussies. I carry the fire! Smoke is my God.
