GENTLE JOHN MEYERS 10X8 1999

A nice guy that would come for company and practice his guitar unplugged. I like the way this painting cropped. On these little pieces, I didn't do a lot of conscious composing. They are gestural pieces. The process hones ones synapses between hand and eye. Like musical scales, the more you do, the less conscious of the craft you become. A day would pass before I could look at this work and be critical of it. On average, I liked about one in six.
