Another day on the rock. I so wanted to be here but my heart was broken and I couldn't let go. My only options were to scramble over the abyss or pour myself into the work. Fasting, drugs, dehydration, and extreme exposure seemed like a reasonable path forward. I am amazed these pieces were coherent. Regardless how bad or empty you feel, there is something unspeakably therapeutic and fulfilling about being in nature. Mentally, I may have been elsewhere but cellularly (put your phone down) I was present.
