VOYAGER  66X54  1994

When you are lost and adrift, it is natural to cling and reach out to that which you know. A lifeboat is a good choice. What you do not know is in a couple of more paintings, my life will begin to unravel. It seemed unfathomable, horrid, at the time. This is where we find our true mettle. Until this point, art was my camouflage and shield. It would shortly become the forge, spotlight and therapy from which I could not hide. Change born not from calculation but instinct. This was a journey of necessity for a voyager seeking discovery.
