EKINUS GEYSER  24X30  1989

Got to draw on my inner Jackson Pollock on this painting. I sat at this geyser for about eight to ten hours. It would burp constantly and violently erupt periodically. Throwing paint demonstrated Ekinus' action best. Painting offers me an opportunity to slow down and witness nature. Some visitors race from site to site snapping pictures. I wonder if they wait to see the place when they have returned home. Others carry a book to read or knitting. They too sit for hours soaking up this place. I have seen people  draw, sing, do yoga, meditate and all sorts of activity just to spend more time in a place they love. These are my people.
