THE LESSOR TETONS  24X30  1989

This trip taught me much about working in nature but it was trail by fire. Obvious things like a hat, water, and bug repellent mean the difference between working two hours or ten hours. I stretch canvas with thumb tacks. I bought stamped tacks rather than welded. Who knew the difference? The nail would detach from the head and go into my thumb. My curses would bounce off the peaks of the Tetons. Duck tape saved my thumbs.
